The Arsenal’s transfer spending reached a total of £208 million on Jurrien Timber, Declan Rice, Kai Havertz, and David Raya. With the arrival of Rice and Havertz, Arsenal’s midfield has become stronger, diminishing the importance of Thomas Partey’s role.
Partey is currently sidelined due to injury.
The 30-year-old player is currently sidelined with a groin injury. Arsenal received offers from the Saudi Pro League for Partey during the past summer. Juventus also showed interest, although this interest did not materialize into a valuable offer.
It is known that Juventus is ready to revive the deal in January, especially with Paul Pogba being temporarily suspended.
According to former player Gabriel Agbonlahor, Arsenal could earn a substantial amount of money by selling Partey during the mid-season. He said to Football Insider: “I would let him go (if I were Arsenal). In some games, he plays poorly, in some he plays well, and in others, he is injured.”
“When you sit down and calculate whether he contributes to your team for more than 50% of the playing time, with his best football. Has he achieved that yet? If I were Arsenal, I would sell him if there is a reasonable offer. I think they tried (to sell him) throughout the summer.”
